Essentials of Social Media Marketing

This week we finished up our textbook, "Essentials of Social Media Marketing". It is crazy that we are already nearing the end of this class and semester. Through the last semester I have learned so much about marketing through social media, especially through this book!

Through the quizzes, videos, infographics, and text, Stukent, the publisher of the book, provided us with more than enough information on how to successfully navigate different social media apps and utilize them with marketing. I never really understood how crucial different social media apps were when companies market but after reading this book, it is easy to understand. Whether it be YouTube, Tik Tok, Instagram, or Facebook, knowing how to use these, and other apps, in the most efficient way is very beneficial to not only a company but their consumers. 

Through this past semester, my eyes have been opened to the world of social media. Before taking this class, I thought social media was just a place where people shared pictures, posted status updates, or stayed connected with their friends. Now, I know there is much more to social media. Without this tool, businesses would not be as successful as they are. Social media allows people to share business ideas, products, information, and so on. Understanding how to utilize social media in the best way, is a deciding factor on how good of a marketing strategy a company has. Stukent has written a guideline for companies to follow on social media marketing, and it is up for them to decide whether or not they want to use it, to be the most successful.
